Why we transcribe conversations
We record our meetings and have them transcribed automatically. The reason is mundane: so we can listen instead of taking notes — and so we can see afterwards what we could do better.
The analysis is about us, not about you. We measure how we ran the conversation: whether we talked too much, whether we listened, whether we agreed on a clear next step at the end. It is not about analysing you.
If you would rather we didn't
Just say so — one line by email is enough, or a sentence at the start of the meeting. We'll switch the recording off for that meeting.
It costs you nothing. The meeting still takes place, in full. There is no downside, and we won't ask why.
Who is responsible
skib. GmbHValentinskamp 3420355 HamburgGermanyfelix@skib.ioWhat we store, and for how long
- The wording of the conversation (transcript)
- 90 days from the meeting, then deleted automatically
- Our internal analysis
- 24 months
- Metrics on our own advisor's conversational behaviour
- indefinitely — they contain no information about you
Video is not recorded, only the spoken word.
Legal basis
Your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You give it by joining the meeting after receiving this notice.
Who sees the data
- Us. Within skib, only the people who took part in the conversation.
- Google. Transcription runs via Google Workspace, with which a data processing agreement is in place.
- Anthropic. The analysis is AI-assisted via the Anthropic API. A data processing agreement is in place here too.
Both providers are based in the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We pass nothing on to third parties not listed here. No sharing with other customers, no publication, no sale.
Your rights
At any time you can:
- withdraw your consent — we'll then delete the transcript and analysis of that conversation
- request access to what we have stored about you
- request rectification or erasure
- lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority responsible for us — the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information
An email to felix@skib.io is enough for all of these. The withdrawal takes effect from the moment it reaches us; processing that was lawful before that remains unaffected.
What we don't do
- We don't assess you. The metrics relate exclusively to our own conversational behaviour.
- We don't use the recordings for marketing, sales lists, or AI training.
- We don't record secretly. When transcription is running, Google Meet shows this to all participants.
